This site sets one cookie of its own, to remember your choice. A second one only appears if you say yes to Google Analytics. Below is which cookies they are, what they do and how you change your choice.

On your first visit we ask at the bottom of the page whether we may measure how the site is used. No is as easy as yes, and if you choose nothing, we measure nothing. We remember your choice for six months; after that we ask again.
You have not chosen yet, so we measure nothing.
You said yes: we measure how the site is used with Google Analytics.
You said no: we measure nothing.
With JavaScript off there is no bar and we measure nothing either.

how Google Analytics is set up
If you say yes, Google receives the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your browser and type of device. We have set it as tightly as Google allows:
- Your IP address is used to determine the region and is not stored afterwards.
- Google Signals is off, so Google does not link your visit to your Google account or to visits on other sites.
- No link with Google Ads and no advertising data. We do not advertise based on your visit.
- Google keeps the data per visitor for two months. What remains are totals: this many visitors on this page.
- If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no and ask nothing.
Google processes this in Ireland and the United States, under Google’s data processing terms and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More about that in the privacy policy.
what else happens
Two things on this site come from somewhere else, also when you have said no. When you open a page a request goes to that party, and they see your IP address in the process. That is not a cookie, but you ought to know about it.
the typeface
The site uses New Rubrik Edge, which is hosted at Adobe Fonts. Opening a page fetches the typeface from there. Adobe does not set a cookie for this, but it does count how often the font is requested, for the licence.
one video
The page our story carries a video about our collaboration with Sherpa. It uses the YouTube variant that only stores anything once you press play. If you do not, nothing happens. If you do press play, YouTube’s terms apply and YouTube may place something on your device.
what we do not do
- No advertising or tracking pixels, and no chat widget following you.
- No social media buttons watching along; the icons at the bottom are plain links.
- No profile of you, and therefore nothing to sell on to anyone.
- Nothing else in your browser’s storage than the cookies above.
the forms
If you fill in a form, what you enter reaches us and we use it to answer your question. That does not go through a cookie and it is not tracking; it is simply what you sent us yourself. What we do with it and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.

If anything is added that places or reads data on your device, it will be listed here, and we will ask your consent in advance for anything that is not strictly necessary to make the site work. What is not listed here is not there.
