platform · the web client

your workplace is wherever you sign in

The web client runs in the browser. At the office, at home or at a hot desk: sign in with your account and you can get started. Nothing to install. Nothing to roll out.

01 · sound familiar?

install first, help later

A new colleague, a day working from home or an extra pair of hands for a busy Monday: the work can only start once the workplace is ready. Install software, arrange permissions, wait for the ticket. That is why our client simply runs in the browser. Signing in is enough, and every laptop is a full customer contact workplace straight away.

  • Every local installation is a job for IT. Every workplace again.
  • Working from home needs the same workplace as the office, only arranged remotely.
  • An extra pair of hands on a peak day should start today. Not after the rollout.
02 · what it is

a browser is enough

The web client is the browser application your colleagues work in within Unexus Connect. Open it in Edge or Chrome, sign in with a Unexus or Microsoft account, and you are ready to go. Calling works through a desk phone, through Microsoft Teams, or with the computer’s microphone and speakers. What your colleagues see and may do is up to you, through roles and permissions.

The same workplace everywhere

Wherever you sign in, everything is there the way you set it up: your queues, the contact history and your text blocks. At home it works exactly as it does at the office.

Everything the job needs

Handling telephony, email, web chat and WhatsApp, transferring, making notes and classifying every contact. Whether you are sitting outside in the sun or at the office.

03 · what you get out of it

why you want a workplace in the browser

Signing in is enough: no installation, no rollout and no administration per workplace.

A new colleague or an extra pair of hands joins in straight away.

At home, at the office or at a hot desk: the same workplace everywhere.

The history of every caller is right there, so nobody has to tell their story twice.

04 · who notices

they profit from it straight away

Your colleague

Signs in and is reachable, wherever the day starts. Same screen, same queues, same text blocks.

Your manager

Scales up staffing on peak days without waiting for workplaces, and sees people waiting, waiting time and service level live.

Your caller

Does not notice where the colleague is sitting. They are helped by someone who can see the previous contact and gets to the answer quickly.

Your IT colleague

Rolls nothing out and manages no local installations. Single sign-on handles access.

05 · how it works in practice

an ordinary Monday working from home

Esther works from home on Mondays. She opens her laptop, signs in with her Microsoft account and is in the same queues as her colleagues at the office. A resident calls about an appointment; Esther sees that he also called on Friday and helps him in one go. Between two calls she picks up a web chat as well.

Resident helped, staffing in order, and nobody notices that today the workplace is a kitchen table.

06 · privacy principles

what we record, and who can reach it

All web client traffic runs over a secured connection, at home as much as at the office. Who may do what is up to you, through roles and permissions: listening back to or downloading a recording can be restricted, and every time it happens it is logged. A recording is something a colleague starts deliberately, within the rules you set.

Your data stays within Europe. Unexus is ISO 27001 certified and the systems are thoroughly and independently tested every year.

questions

what people want to know

so what do my people call with?
With what you already have. A desk phone, Microsoft Teams, or the computer itself with a headset. That last one is called a softphone and works in Edge and Chrome, over a secured connection. You choose it per colleague and you can change it.
does it work in every browser?
Edge and Chrome are the browsers where everything works, including calling from the computer. Firefox and Safari work too, but without that calling function. Headsets from Jabra and EPOS among others are supported, so your colleagues can answer and end a call with the button on the headset.
does IT have to install this on every desktop?
No. There is no installation on the desktop. Anyone who wants it as a program on their desktop adds it as an app, and does that themselves.
can we sign in with our Microsoft account?
Yes, with single sign-on. Or with a Unexus account, if you would rather keep that separate. You choose during the set-up.
what happens after a call?
There is wrap-up time, and it starts automatically. In that time you record what was discussed and classify the contact. You can make that classification mandatory, so your records stay complete.
can a colleague record calls?
A colleague starts that deliberately, and whether they are allowed to depends on their role and permissions. Listening back and downloading a recording can be restricted too, and every time a recording is played or downloaded it is logged. More about that is on security & compliance.
and web chat, can a customer keep the conversation?
Yes, at the end they can ask for a transcript. During the chat they can see when someone is typing, and attachments can go both ways.

want to see how that works?

Half an hour with someone who has done this many times. We put your kind of questions into the screen, because a generic screen tells you very little about how it will work for you.

No obligations. Would you rather look around on your own first? The hard facts are on security & compliance.
